Host of Antiques Downunder, Claudia Chan Shaw, visits Kalmar Antiques in the Queen Victoria Building

Go behind the scenes at Kalmar Antiques on the latest season of Antiques Downunder. The episode will air on the 11th of October on 9GEM at 7:30pm local time. If you’re a lover of vintage watches or antique jewellery the episode is a must-see. Hosts, Claudia Chan Shaw and Gregory Bickford, take a tour of the watchmaking workshop and browse the extensive collection of antique jewellery.

With nearly 40 years in the antique trade, the episode is a rare chance to get a close-up look at some of the Kalmar family’s most important pieces. Director and Jewellery Valuer, Damien Kalmar takes viewers through some of the most fascinating eras of jewellery history, showcasing pieces from the Victorian to the Art Deco periods.

Following an extensive renovation of their boutique in 2022 the episode is an opportunity for viewers to see the refurbished space and plan their next visit to the historical Queen Victoria Building. Kalmar Antiques will feature in two episodes across the season which will be available on all 9GEM platforms.
